Role Overview

The Behavioural Management Program Clinical Psychologist role involves providing evidence-based interventions to support older patients in rehab and aged care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage behavioural disturbances in patients within aged care, stroke, and rehabilitation settings at hospitals.
  • Develop tailored care plans to address individual patient needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote positive behaviour change.
  • Conduct cognitive screening assessments to inform treatment decisions.
  • Support and educate carers and families on managing challenging behaviours.
Essential Requirements
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the relevant board.
  • Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification or recognised equivalent.
  • Compliance with work health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Current clearance for working with vulnerable groups.
  • National police check (conducted by the employer).
