We are seeking a seasoned risk management expert to join our Enterprise Risk Leadership Team as the Chief Risk Officer. This newly created role is designed to support our growing team and drive strategic risk governance across the EQT Group.

The successful candidate will shape risk frameworks, policies, and governance structures, working closely with executive leadership, Boards, and committees. As a key member of the team, you will lead a group of senior professionals, setting risk strategies, driving transformation, and fostering a risk-aware culture.

About the Role:

  • Develop and refine risk frameworks, policies, and governance structures
  • Build relationships with key regulators and industry bodies
  • Report on risk management and compliance matters to Boards and committees
  • Oversee key projects, strengthen risk controls, and enhance GRC systems
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing risk team

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in risk management and regulatory expertise
  • Proven leadership, including influencing Boards, regulators, and senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills with a commercially aware mindset
  • Results-driven approach with a passion for continuous improvement
