Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored career guidance and support to clients, helping them achieve their employment goals through a person-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case manage a caseload of clients, developing personalized job search plans and collaborating with clients to achieve employment objectives.
  • Supervise the volunteer-run Employment Hub, ensuring a high-quality client experience and exceptional service delivery.
  • Provide constructive feedback to clients and volunteers to enhance job search outcomes.
  • Identify suitable employment opportunities for clients, including ASC Jobs Board listings, and develop strategies for next steps.
  • Maintain relationships with local employers and businesses, promoting candidates and facilitating connections.
  • Support individuals in accessing information about establishing their own business.
  • Source relevant employment and training opportunities.
  • Guide volunteers in delivering post-placement support for clients and employers.
Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, training, human resources, or business development.
  • Able to motivate, support, and inspire volunteers and people seeking asylum.
  • Strong listening, engagement, and communication skills, with the ability to support individuals with complex needs.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by people seeking asylum.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively to solve problems as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
  • Experience communicating with external stakeholders.
