We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Life Without Barriers. As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized home care support to older Australians, enabling them to maintain their independence and live life to the fullest.
This is a casual opportunity, with flexible hours available between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. You will be required to provide transport for clients, so a valid Australian Driver's Licence and a willingness to travel are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Domestic Assistance: Provide light cleaning duties, change bed linen, wash/laundry, and maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- In-Home Supports: Assist with meal preparation, daily living activities, and provide emotional support to clients.
- Personal Care: Assist with showering, daily hygiene, and monitoring of health and well-being, including identification of wound care needs and skin integrity.
- Social Supports: Support clients to attend medical appointments, social activities, and build/maintain social networks.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability, or similar) is required.
- Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community.
- Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment).
- Work independently while supported by a dedicated leadership team.
- Simple and easy-to-use technology to record timesheets and kilometres.
- Supported career development with opportunities to learn and take on new challenges.
