Production Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Technician to join our operations team in Adelaide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our manufacturing plant and equipment, ensuring optimal production levels and minimal downtime. This role involves routine preventative maintenance, breakdown work, and interpreting machinery and product drawings.

About the Role:

  • Routine Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on plant and equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Breakdown Work: Perform prompt and effective repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Machinery and Product Drawings: Interpret technical drawings to understand and troubleshoot machinery and product issues.
  • Equipment Operations: Operate a range of equipment involved in sheet metal fabrication, including roll formers, press brakes, presses, and folding machines.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Adherence to Policies: Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

About You:

  • Trade Qualifications: Possess formal trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter and Turner.
  • Pneumatics and Hydraulics: Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is highly regarded.
  • Quality Focus: Demonstrate a commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Electrical Licence: Hold a connect/disconnect electrical licence (highly regarded).
  • Roll Forming: Desire to learn or experience in roll forming is preferable.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrate ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills.
