The primary function of the Customer Service Officer role is to provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate and timely information to customers regarding Council functions, policies, and services;
  • Addressing customer concerns and resolving issues in a courteous and efficient manner;
  • Calculating fees and charges for Council; managing floats and performing end-of-day duties with precision;
  • Ensuring the protection of personal information and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with Council's Privacy Management plan.

Excellent communication skills are essential to ensure effective delivery of information and advice to customers. The position involves liaison with various stakeholders, including ratepayers, community members, builders, and developers, to provide comprehensive information on Council services.

A successful candidate will possess strong customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding service to our customers.
