About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Garden Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Green by Nature. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our open space garden areas throughout the Orana Estate contract located in Clyde North, South East of Melbourne.

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in horticulture to ensure the gardens are well-maintained and visually appealing.

The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens, or relevant experience, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Daily duties will include weed identification, manual weeding, herbicide application, pruning, pest identification & treatment.
  • Soft landscaping duties to include mulch top up, plant ID & replacement planting as required.
  • Activities, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning and fertilising.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
  • Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
  • Interact with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.

Salary and Location

This position offers a competitive salary estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
