The role of Traineeship Program Coordinator plays a pivotal part in enhancing the Aboriginal health care sector by coordinating the Indigenous Health Workforce Traineeship (IHWT) Program across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) in Western Australia.
Main Responsibilities- To manage and administer the IHWT Program with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of skilled Aboriginal people working in the health sector;
- To develop and implement strategies that create viable career pathways for Aboriginal individuals within the health and community services sectors;
- To enhance the capacity of ACCHS to provide culturally appropriate healthcare services to the Aboriginal population.
About Your Skills and Experience
We are seeking an individual with expertise in program administration, recruitment, training, and development, as well as a strong understanding of the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Key skills and qualifications include:
- Program/project administration experience;
- Familiarity with the VET sector, including Registered Training Organisations (RTOs);
- Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail, accuracy, and time management;
- Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with applicants, external organisations, management, and employees at all levels;
- A high level of organisation to effectively plan and coordinate your workload;
- Strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence, editing documents, and writing reports.
Requirements
In addition to the above requirements, the successful candidate will need to hold an unrestricted WA 'C' Class Driver's Licence and submit a National Police Clearance prior to appointment. You must be eligible to work in Australia and provide evidence of this entitlement.
