Empowering Indigenous Communities

Job Role:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support First Nations families in their natural environment, assessing their functioning and support needs.

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with First Nations families to ensure their voices and preferences are at the forefront.
  • Undertake observations of children aged 0–9 with disabilities or developmental delays to empower their independence, community inclusion, and overall quality of life.

This role involves travelling across the area to engage with families and communities in their own homes, promoting a culturally safe and supportive work environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Aboriginality confirmed by a common seal and a reference from an Aboriginal organisation or community group.
  • Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood or Allied Health is desirable.
  • Understanding of child protection principles and appropriate safety protocols.
  • Valid Driver's Licence (P1 minimum).
  • WWCC & NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Full Australian working rights.
