We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our Litigation team as a Legal Support Professional. This is a full-time permanent role, with part-time considered.
About The TeamThe Professional Standards Division of the Legal Regulation Department (PS-LRD) is responsible for assessment, investigation, and resolution of complaints, regulation of the conduct of solicitors, and protection of the public through investigation, prosecution, and education.
About The RoleAs a Legal Support Professional, you will provide legal and administrative support, conducting research in a timely and efficient manner to assist Investigations Solicitors and Litigation Solicitors within PS-LRD.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal assistance and support to Investigations Solicitors and Litigation Solicitors in areas such as complaints investigation, disclosure and compliance monitoring, litigation, external intervention, and costs recovery.
- Conduct legal research and document review as requested by the Investigations Solicitors or Litigation Solicitors of PS-LRD.
- Classification, organisation and management of files, records, documents, and evidence for investigations, litigation, external intervention, or costs recovery.
- Draft precedent-based legal documents under the supervision of Investigations Solicitors or Litigation Solicitors of PS-LRD.
- Support the Director and Deputy Directors as required.
- Studying a law degree or a graduate of a law degree.
- Strong administrative skills gained in a Paralegal or Administrative Support role in a legal practice.
