Resilience Specialist

This role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of initiatives to reduce disaster risks. The ideal candidate will have qualifications in Environmental or Social Science and/or relevant experience in disaster preparedness.
The successful candidate will also have an understanding of current State and National disaster recovery and preparedness strategic plans, as well as highly developed communication and engagement skills.
- Develop strategic and operational policies, frameworks and action plans to enhance disaster resilience.
- Implement and monitor the Disaster Risk Reduction Strategy.
The Strategic Disaster Risk Reduction Officer will work closely with stakeholders to achieve the Council's vision of creating a strong and resilient community.
