Lead Environmental Strategist Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead a technical team in Brisbane as a Principal Environmental Consultant. The team has achieved significant success in the Defence and mining sectors, with strong demand from clients in QLD Airport precincts and hydrogeology projects.

The role requires a seasoned professional to build on existing relationships across Defence, Federal Infrastructure, and QLD Airport precincts. You will be responsible for forging new partnerships across mining, industry, and government.

  • Drive delivery teams across contaminated land, remediation, PFAS, and hydrogeology programs
  • Shape the local delivery approach and align it with national offerings
  • Collaborate with program managers and technical directors

You will work closely with a senior project lead (ex-Defence PMCA) and technical leader (hydro, CLM) to steer the local direction. Collaboration with peers across a national network of professionals in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney is also required.

Key requirements include 12+ years in CLM/Hydrogeology consulting, excellent client communication and relationship-building skills, credibility in front of Defence, Infrastructure, or mining clients, and EPA QLD Auditor status (or interest in future pathway).
