Senior Operations Leader

Wood Plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Leader to join our Operations business in a pivotal leadership role supporting our Oil & Gas clientele as part of our strategic growth plan for the future.

This permanent role is based in Darwin and is available as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis. As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for the setup, growth, development and performance delivery of our Darwin office.

You will thrive in the challenge of setting up a new office in Darwin and building a team of project personnel across project management, engineering, construction & commissioning and project controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia
  • Have a degree qualification in Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field OR degree qualified in a commercial/business discipline with significant experience in a technical organisation

Requirements:

  • Ideally, you will have experience in a similar Operations Director, Functional Manager role or have proven experience in a Delivery Manager role with an extensive track record of successful operational and strategic delivery within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • You will have a passion for energy security and energy transition with the vision to navigate energy models of the future, coupled with your proven experience partnering with clients to be more efficient, sustainable, and optimised to deliver the best energy mix in their respective markets.
