Social Planning Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Social Planning Officer to join our team at Charterhouse. As a key member of our Community Development section, you will play a critical role in shaping the social planning process for the Local Government Area (LGA).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct social research and community consultations to inform the development of social plans and policies.
- Supervise the implementation of social plans and provide progress reports to the Council and key stakeholders.
- Offer information, resourcing, and assistance to the Human Services Sector operating within the LGA.
- Coordinate with government levels to ensure cohesive and prompt planning and delivery of services and facilities for the communities within the LGA.
Requirements
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in social science, social planning, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated substantial work experience in community development or a role involving social/community planning.
- Possession of a valid class C driver's license.
- Previous experience working within Local Government.
