Job Description:

The school is looking for a passionate and innovative educator to develop and deliver a comprehensive food technology curriculum in Years 7-10. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape and contribute to a progressive model of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design engaging and informative lesson plans that cover various aspects of food technology, including cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety.
  • Instruct students on proper food safety and hygiene practices, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Teach students how to safely and effectively use kitchen equipment, including ovens, stovetops, knives, and other culinary tools.
  • Collaborate with other food technology educators to enhance the overall culinary education experience.
Requirements:
  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Hold a valid VIT registration.
  • Experience in Food technology advantageous in Australia/NZ - graduates welcome to apply.
  • Understanding of the Vic Curriculum - experience teaching in Vic/Australia.
  • Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree containing a teaching qualification, with further study an advantage.
