Occupational Therapist Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to consumers and their families in a dynamic acute mental health setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize occupational therapy assessments and interventions to support recovery, using independent professional judgment and seeking supervision as appropriate.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, policy development, and clinical research.
  • Supervise and support students on placement.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the relevant regulatory agency.
  • Demonstrated capabilities for recovery-oriented mental health care and commitment to recovery-oriented approaches in inpatient mental health care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining open communication and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Strong written documentation, computer skills, and oral communication.
