Job Title: Experienced Human Resources Advisor

Job Connect Recruitment is partnering with Mapei Australia, a leading global company in the building industry, to find an experienced Human Resources Advisor with a strong background in end-to-end Human Resources and Employee Relations. This role is ideal for a professional who possesses a solid understanding of Human Resources fundamentals and has practical experience.

Mapei Australia has experienced significant growth since the establishment of its state-of-the-art facility in 2016. As a result, they require an energized and experienced professional in the Human Resources discipline to help navigate and maintain their excellent performance in employee retention, employee relations, and onboarding while assisting their journey to innovate.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating across key business streams to provide Employment/Industrial Relations, HR Process, and Operational advice to ensure the company maintains legal compliance and achieves the best outcomes through key decisions, initiatives, and challenges related to its people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising key business contacts in business units to provide guidance on legislative and policy changes, systems, and key people management issues
  • Supporting the business with key HR processes and initiatives in talent management, employee engagement, and retention, performance management, and policy review
  • Providing specialist advice on Acts, Regulations, Awards, Industrial Agreements, Legislation, and their effect on current/future Policies and Procedures
  • Being responsible and resourced to deliver smooth and compliant onboarding and induction processes
  • Supporting the business in developing current policies and procedures that are aligned to best practice within a human resource setting
  • Assisting with key Projects within the HR Team
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Management, or equivalent/related discipline
  • At least 6 years demonstrated experience working in an HR Advisory capacity with strong practical and technical grounding
  • Intermediate IT skills, full Microsoft Suite, HRIS, Oracle HR & Compensation, Payroll (view and reporting), eLearning, SharePoint are all preferable and will strengthen your application
  • Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or Manufacturing will be highly regarded
  • Experience in collaborating with operational and administrative teams to achieve goals or outcomes
  • Well-developed time management, interpersonal, and written skills to carry out projects across teams and liaise with a range of varied employees to achieve goals
  • Experience in Project design and roll-outs highly regarded
