About the Role:This Clinical Nurse Educator position is an excellent opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals at various levels, promoting evidence-based practice and supporting the development of nurse-led initiatives. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in designing and implementing educational programs that enhance the knowledge and skills of nurses working in gastroenterology.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Education and Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of nurses working in gastroenterology. This may involve coordinating workshops, lectures, and online modules that promote best practice and support ongoing professional development.
- Supervision and Mentoring: Provide expert supervision and guidance to nurses at all levels, helping them to develop their clinical skills and confidence in providing high-quality care to patients with complex gastroenterology conditions.
- Teaching and Facilitation: Design and deliver engaging teaching sessions that foster a love of learning and promote the exchange of ideas among healthcare professionals.
- A current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- A relevant clinical or education post-registration qualification or 3 years clinical experience in the field.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply these in a real-world setting.
- Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment.
- Computer literacy and understanding of hospital information systems.
