About the Opportunity:
Ashurst, a leading legal-led consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled ESG Sustainability Consultant to join its team in Australia. As a Specialist, you will be an integral member of a team delivering core strategy, risk, and compliance solutions to clients across various industries, including financial services, energy & resources, corporate, and government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver strategic ESG and risk solutions to clients, including advising on the development and implementation of strategic planning and risk frameworks, assessing risk programs, and implementing controls testing and uplift.
- Provide effective communication to clients, maintain key Ashurst and client relationships, and contribute to the growth and development of the Risk Advisory practice and ESG team in Australia.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to solve client problems, actively seeking and welcoming feedback to support the development of your skills and expertise.
About You:
- You have 2-5 years of specialized ESG/sustainability experience, ideally within a consulting environment, and are comfortable with common tools, frameworks, and standards in this space.
- Experience working with Native Title and heritage projects and approvals is highly desirable.
- You're a self-starter who is keen to work in a fast-paced environment that is always evolving and requires you to be proactive, confident, and humble.
- You have proven experience delivering high-quality work for clients and stakeholders in line with expectations and deadlines, including sustainability programs and projects.
- You're confident in autonomously finding solutions to a range of problems, especially those related to risk management, in a commercial and client-focused way.
- You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail, and experience writing a range of business documents.
- You have experience providing the highest quality service to clients and fostering professional and commercial relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- You're passionate about collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to solve client problems and actively seeking and welcoming feedback to support the development of your skills and expertise.
- You're enthusiastic to continue learning and developing your skills and knowledge daily.
- You're excited to work in a team that allows you to take on more responsibility and proactively get involved in a range of work, including client interaction and business development.
