About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our heritage preservation efforts in Perth. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, providing expert advice on heritage conservation and restoration.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing heritage projects from conception to completion.
  • Providing technical guidance and expertise on heritage conservation, restoration, and preservation.
  • Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet their needs.
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to business development activities, including client relationship management and proposal preparation.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in heritage conservation, history, architecture, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or extensive experience in heritage conservation is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in heritage consultancy, with a strong understanding of Western Australian heritage legislation and best practices.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to apply statutory heritage legislation from both the Heritage Act 2018 and the Planning and Development Act 2005.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality written reports using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative suite software.
  • Some ability to use AutoCAD for architectural conservation documentation is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
