Job Opportunity

This role presents a unique chance to spearhead the ongoing development and growth of infrastructure services. The position will be responsible for delivering capital projects, establishing processes, procedures, support, and oversight of facility infrastructure build quality.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification at degree or diploma level with several years of relevant work experience in Project Management with either Facility Management, Building design, Facility maintenance or other allied field commensurate with the requirements of the role.

They will also have ability to capture and analyse data, reports and research to identify salient issues and trends, with particular understanding and experience with service delivery from built form infrastructure.

Additionally, the candidate will have understanding and ability to implement and manage performance development of program staff, including contributing to developing requirements and planning for long term staffing strategies of the Service.

They will also have ability to motivate and develop program staff and establish an environment that motivates and supports colleagues and associates to achieve high levels of performance in pursuit of specific objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead creation, implementation, and maintenance of collaborative model for accessing and assuring construction quality.
  • Provide and facilitate advice, process, tools, direction, and approval to ensure community access to high quality-built facility infrastructure.
  • Conduct review and analysis of local and industry-wide trends to contribute to body of knowledge of best practice design and material palettes relating to quality standards for construction and component performance.
  • Implement processes with supporting procedures and tools to review and improve build quality of Council's Built form facility infrastructure.
  • Supervise, assist, and support Project officers in successful delivery of minor capital projects.
  • Contribute to and assist with development of 5 and 10 year Building Component renewal planning.

What You'll Bring:

  • Tertiary qualification at degree or diploma level with several years of relevant work experience in Project Management with either Facility Management, Building design, Facility maintenance or other allied field commensurate with requirements of the role.

  • Experience with regular oversight of financial performance, monitoring, and adherence to expenditure targets for minor capital works and component renewal projects.
