Job Overview

The Facilities Manager oversees the management, maintenance and operational readiness of multiple repair facilities. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, managing contractor performance, ensuring workplace safety and compliance, and supporting facility upgrades and improvements.

About This Role

This is a critical position that requires a skilled and experienced facilities leader to manage competing priorities and ensure seamless operations across diverse teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules and oversee regular servicing of key infrastructure.
    • Respond to urgent maintenance issues, minimize downtime and maintain accurate records of assets, servicing and repairs.
    • Manage compliance with national workplace safety and environmental standards, including fire systems, evacuation signage, spill kits and hazardous chemical storage.
    • Coordinate routine inspections, audits and remediation activities.
    • Engage, manage and monitor contractor performance and ensure all contractors meet safety, insurance and induction requirements.
    • Standardize supplier agreements and ensure cost-effective, reliable servicing.
  • Requirements:
    • Minimum 5 years experience in multi-site facilities management.
    • Knowledge of WHS infrastructure and compliance in industrial environments.
    • Hands-on approach with ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Willingness to travel regularly interstate.
    • Experience in collision repair, automotive or light industrial sectors.
    • Familiarity with DoneSafe or other facilities software.
    • Trade or facilities-related technical qualification.
    • Basic understanding of environmental and landlord lease compliance.
