Workforce Operations Manager

Ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of train services is a critical component of this role. Workforce Controllers play a vital part in coordinating and managing the roster for all passenger locomotive train crews, ensuring compliance with awards and business rules.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Developing and implementing effective rosters that balance work allocation while adhering to all relevant agreements and policies.
  2. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date roster data, ensuring it aligns with rail safety principles and standards.
  3. Providing adequate roster coverage for planned and unplanned disruptions, guaranteeing all services have sufficient driver coverage.
  4. Allocating operational rosters according to FAID requirements, taking into account training, leave, special events, and public holidays.
  5. Managing the IT system related to rostering, including data entry of train crew times.
  6. Additional tasks involve arranging accommodation for drivers and organizing relevant medical appointments.

Essential Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, excellent communication skills, proficiency in relevant software and systems.
