About The Role 

We are seeking an experienced Shift Process Operator to join the team at our Cataby Operation. The Cataby mining operation is located near the Town of Dandaragan, approximately 150 kilometers north of Perth.

We are looking for applicants with a can-do attitude, a strong focus on safety and productivity, and a demonstrated initiative to achieve site-wide operational excellence. This is a site-based permanent position, working 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off rotation. 

Your accountabilities will be:

  • Control room operation
  • Undertaking regular plant inspections and completing check sheets
  • Operating both fixed and mobile equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Instructions
  • Sampling process streams and reporting and correcting any production variances
  • Ensuring plant availability for timely and effective maintenance
  • Undertaking appropriate risk and hazard assessments to ensure a safe working environment is sustained

About You

To be successful for this role, you will have:

  • Front end-loader / Skid steer / Forklift licenses / HR licence is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to conduct risk assessments (Job Hazard Analysis, Take 2) and adhere to Safe Work Instruction guidelines
  • Demonstrated control room knowledge and capability to conduct control room operations
  • Proficient in operating Citec SCADA systems or similar
  • Pumping operations with priming, basic fault finding, restarting, and shutting down correctly
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a small team
  • An ability to adapt to changes in work priorities to respond to production requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to further training and skills development
