As a Motorcycle Incident Response Officer on the Brisbane Network, you will provide first response services to traffic incidents. Your duties will include:

  • Responding promptly to traffic incidents/breakdowns along major roads and highways
  • Supporting situational incident response efforts where applicable
  • Ensuring the safety of your team, road users, and other parties while engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents
  • Maintaining optimum safe lane availability and relaying up-to-date information to the public, supervisors, and the wider response team
  • Operating a range of vehicles to assist with all aspects of civil maintenance support
  • Collaborating with emergency services and providing road trauma first aid and small compartmental firefighting when required and safe to do so

Mandatory requirements for this role include:

  • A valid motorcycle and MR drivers' licence (zero court cancellations or suspensions)
  • Significant experience in motor cycle operations
  • A construction white card
  • The ability to work both day and night shifts
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Level-headedness and calmness under pressure, with strong self-awareness
  • At least 5 years of incident management experience
  • Full working rights in Australia.
