As a frontline leader, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating production processes and activities, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and Alcoa standards.

About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of Refinery & Process Operators, Area/Senior Operators, and Senior/Area Process Controllers or Area/Senior Equipment Carers.
  • Providing expert analysis and troubleshooting to resolve productivity issues and optimize process performance.
  • Allocating tasks to team members based on their skillset and expertise.
  • Fostering a culture of strong team cohesion and engagement, driving inclusion and diversity within the team.
  • Ensuring the area is operating within process limits and providing support to operators for managing the process.
  • Contributing to a safe working environment by identifying and correcting hazards, ensuring compliance with legislative safety and Alcoa standards.

What You Can Bring to the Role:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Progression towards a Leadership Certificate (desirable).
  • High-level tagging experience – lock out tag out verification (desirable for production/refining areas).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mining, production, or refining environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of process/production operational activities pertaining to process plants or mine sites.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with experience in coaching individuals and developing inclusive teams to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Excellent safety leadership, with an absolute commitment to maintaining a strong health and safety culture.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation and collaboration skills with the ability to cohesively work with the wider organizational requirements.

Our Alcoa Pinjarra Refinery is one of the world's largest alumina refineries, producing approximately 4.7 million metric tons each year.
