About the Role


A unique opportunity exists to leverage your communications expertise in digital media and contribute to our External Affairs team on a 12-month limited term contract.


In this role, you will develop and implement impactful digital communications strategies to enhance Alcoa's reputation and social licence in Australia.


You will:


Create engaging content for Alcoa's social media channels, collaborating with colleagues across the business.
Identify and develop digital marketing campaign strategies to promote organisational and resource unit objectives.
Collaborate with global teams to develop comprehensive content strategies and streamline activities.
Manage content approvals, scheduling, promotion, monitoring, issue management, and reporting.
Stay up-to-date on trends and changes in the digital market to identify opportunities for improvement aligned with the business strategy.
Deliver other brand and communication activities, including photography, video production, website management, event management, merchandise, and media releases.

What you can bring to the role:


Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Media, or a related field.
Experience in a similar communications role, with expertise in developing digital campaigns and strategies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a creative vision for content creation.
An ability to plan, manage, and balance multiple projects and priorities.
Knowledge of the resources sector and Alcoa's geographical and socio-political setting in WA would be advantageous, along with exposure to risk and issues management.
Experience working with various tools, including the MS Office Suite, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
A current WA Driver's License with flexibility to travel to other locations when required.
