About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Orthoptist to join our Client Services team. As an Orthoptist, you will utilise your specialist knowledge and skills to provide assessment, training, intervention strategies, and service co-ordination to enable clients to maximise the use of their residual vision.
Job Description
- You will work with clients of all ages, providing functional vision assessments and recommendations that address their priorities, supporting them to make the most effective use of their vision.
- You will provide information to clients and their carers/family about eye conditions, appropriate to their needs.
- You will utilise a person-centred and strengths-based approach, providing services that focus on clients' needs and goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- You should have an approved qualification in Orthoptics as recognised by the Australian Orthoptics Association.
- Registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board is encouraged.
- You will have knowledge and skills in working with children, adults, and older adults.
- You will have experience in providing client support and Orthoptic services in person and/or through other communication mediums.
- You will have training and intervention strategies for individuals and groups.

Salary
The estimated salary for this role is $88,000 per annum, pro rata ($44.92 p.h.) + Superannuation with Salary Packaging up to $15,900.
Location
This role is available across Wagga, Albury & Shepparton.
