Job Overview

As a Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and support on various industrial relations matters across different Council Service Groups.

You will act as the primary point of contact for managers and employees, helping them navigate day-to-day industrial issues by offering practical and compliant solutions and advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and apply Council's industrial instruments and relevant legislation to provide informed advice and guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of workplace policies and processes that promote a positive and legally compliant work environment.
  • Support initiatives that foster collaboration and engagement among employees and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and stakeholder partnerships through consultative approach.
  • Experience in providing professional advice to internal stakeholders on employee relations enquiries.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to organisational and human resources management issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with excellent organisational skills and priority-setting abilities.
