Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Officer, Community Resilience to play a key role in responding to incidents affecting the community.

  • The successful candidate will consult with stakeholders to develop strategic and operational plans that promote community resilience and wellbeing.
  • This role involves collaborating with diverse groups to understand community perspectives and mental health impacts.
  • A key responsibility of this position is analysing data, providing advice, and negotiating complex issues to ensure effective incident response.

Initial focus will be on progressing current mental wellbeing initiatives in response to drought and algal bloom.

The selected individual will utilize learnings to develop a safeguarding framework outlining Preventive Health SA responsibilities and action.

Key Responsibilities:

Incident Response and Planning

  • Develop strategic and operational plans with stakeholders to enhance community resilience.
  • Collaborate with diverse groups to understand community perspectives and mental health impacts.
  • Analyse data, provide advice, and negotiate complex issues to ensure effective incident response.

Safeguarding Framework Development

Utilize learnings from current initiatives to develop a safeguarding framework outlining Preventive Health SA responsibilities and action.

Community Engagement

Consult with stakeholders to develop strategies that promote community resilience and wellbeing.

Problem-Solving and Negotiation

Analyse data, provide advice, and negotiate complex issues to ensure effective incident response.
