Job Summary

This role is a key contributor to the company's underwriting strategy and growth, responsible for assessing insurance risks and determining acceptability within designated authority levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve business growth through new business and renewals by identifying opportunities within underwriting appetite.
  • Determine the acceptability, conditions, and pricing of routine moderate to complex insurance risks.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of current legislation, underwriting acceptance levels, systems, and guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines at all times.
Requirements
  • Possess ANZIIF Associate Insurance qualifications (preferred).
  • Demonstrate prior experience in Underwriting multi or single line commercial business and domestic products.
  • Exhibit broad insurance industry knowledge.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous experience with Sunrise / Underwriting System is advantageous.
  • Ability to deliver results on time and in full.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player with high integrity and energy.
