Leadership Opportunity in Respiratory Care

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Leader to join our team. This role will involve leading and developing a portfolio of research projects, securing funding, and contributing to the strategic direction of the program.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in achieving independent research funding, a passion for respiratory research, and the capability to lead and develop a strong and productive research team.

The role will also involve maintaining high level oversight of ongoing studies, supporting current projects, and providing expert input during research meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high level oversight of ongoing studies
  • Lead aspects of grant writing and submissions for new projects
  • Support current projects to ensure optimal trial and execution
  • Provide expert input during research meetings
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant health/ medical qualification
  • PhD in a relevant health related discipline
  • Seasoned Researcher or Leader of a small research theme within a program
  • Experience in the management of research projects and/or clinical trials
  • Demonstrated track record in application and procurement of grants and funds
  • Experienced in writing high impact research papers
  • Experience and/or ability in people management and primary supervisor of post-graduate students
  • Advanced technical writing and oral presentation skills
  • Strong decision making, problem solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop collaborations within and external to the home organisation
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
