About the Opportunity:

\

We are seeking a dedicated educator to teach Secondary Design Technology and Materials. The successful candidate will possess a sound understanding of the Western Australian curriculum and be committed to contributing to a collaborative, creative, and supportive teaching environment.

\

The ideal candidate will be able to teach Secondary Design Technology and Materials, utilising a sound understanding of Western Australian curriculum, and maintain accurate records of student academic progress.

\

Key Responsibilities include:

\
  • Teaching classes as timetabled using varied and effective strategies appropriate to the Learning Area/course and differentiate for the individual needs of students.\
  • Maintaining accurate records of student academic progress, including monitoring and review of student progress.\
  • Applying appropriate classroom management strategies in order to provide a positive and effective learning environment.\
  • Reporting informally and formally to students and parents using verbal and written communication through various mediums.\
  • Carrying out extra duties as required, such as grounds duty, internal relief, parent information evenings, college functions, fellowship events, staff meetings etc.\
  • Developing an understanding of the biblical basis for Christian Education and the College's values, aims and practices within the history of the Swan Christian Education Association.

  • A personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and being an active member of a Christian Church.\
  • Acceptance of the Association's Statement of Faith, Code of Conduct, Foundational Statements of Belief and Educational Objectives.\
  • Living a lifestyle consistent with these statements.
