We areseeking either an experienced Secondary Design Technology &Materials teacher or a secondary graduate teacher who hasundertaken studies in Design Technology and Materials during theirhigh school studies. This position presents an exciting opportunityfor a passionate Christian educator to inspire and engage studentsin the field of Design and Technology. The successful candidatewill have a sound understanding of the Western Australiancurriculum and a desire to contribute to a collaborative, creative,and supportive teaching environment grounded in EllenbrookChristian College.

While afull-time role is preferred, we also welcomeapplications from those interested in part-timework or currently completing fourth year secondaryteaching degree or master's degree, who may be eligible toteach with limited registration. This position is expected to startin January 2026.

Yourkey responsibilities:

• Be ableto teach Secondary Design Technology and Materials utilising asound understanding of Western Australiancurriculum.
• Teachclasses as timetabled using varied and effective strategiesappropriate to the Learning Area/course and differentiate forthe individual needs of students.
• Maintaineffective, current and accurate records of student academicprogress, including monitoring and review of studentprogress.
• Applyappropriate classroom management strategies in order to providea positive and effective learning environment.
• Reportinformally and formally to students and parents using verbaland written communication through the mediums of Parent Lounge,Parent-Teacher evenings, the College's reporting programand other appropriate means.
• Carryout extra duties as required - for example, grounds duty,internal relief, parent information evenings, Collegefunctions, fellowship events, staff meetings, etc.
• Developan understanding of the biblical basis for Christian Educationand the College's values, aims and practices within thehistory of the Swan Christian EducationAssociation.

To besuccessful in this role:

• Have apersonal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an activemember of a Christian Church.
• Toaccept the Association's Statement of Faith, Code ofConduct, Foundational Statements of Belief and EducationalObjectives and be living a lifestyle consistent with thesestatements.
• Evidenceof personal competence in their subject area through thepresentation of folios, workbooks or teaching notes atinterview.
• Familiarity with avariety of teaching and learning strategies to appropriatelymeet students' needs and course objectives.
• Strategies used tocommunicate effectively with adults and students.
• Competence in the use oftechnology.
• Commitment to theestablishment and maintenance of quality relationships withstudents, staff, parents and the wider community.
