Job Opportunity

The role of Allied Health Mental Health Clinician is a pivotal position within our organization, providing dynamic acute mental health support to clients. This vital job offers opportunities for skill growth and development through collaboration with dedicated multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive acute mental health care and crisis support services
  • Engage with families and partners to make a positive impact
  • Conduct intake assessments and triage to ensure effective mental health interventions
  • Provide crisis care, home treatment, and medication management support
  • Liaise with healthcare providers, hospitals, law enforcement, and other agencies to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and students to enhance their skills and knowledge
Essential Requirements:
  • A degree permitting registration as a Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Psychologist
  • Relevant experience and clinical skills in community mental health triage, comprehensive assessments, risk planning, and safety protocols
  • An understanding of mental health/psychiatry services and crisis work; ability to thrive in a demanding crisis/acute management environment
Selection Criteria:
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written communication, and negotiation abilities
  • Intermediate computer literacy
  • Experience and knowledge in acute mental health intervention, early intervention, and CALD issues
