
Senior Liability Claim Specialist

This is a mid-senior level position in the National Liability Claims team where you will support customers and ensure timely and cost-efficient management of complex legal liability claims.
As a Claims Service Consultant, you will be responsible for taking ownership of your portfolio of claims, gaining technical knowledge and expertise to make policy coverage decisions, assess allegations of negligence and negotiate quantum within a delegated authority.
You will also ensure a high standard of service is maintained for internal and external customers while building professional relationships. Continuous communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential to report on claim developments, trends, and potential large losses.
Active communication and negotiation with panel solicitors, loss adjusters, and service providers are necessary to reach the best possible outcome for all stakeholders involved. Attending and advocating at Tribunal Hearings, Informal Settlement Conferences, and Mediations under senior staff guidance are also key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:

- Communicate and negotiate with panel solicitors, loss adjusters, and service providers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in law and/or experience working in a legal environment
- Customer service experience and ability to interact with various stakeholders
- Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and manage competing resources and demands
- Willingness to be part of a collaborative and supportive culture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
