Job Title: Histopathology Training Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Biomedical Scientist to join our team as the Training Lead. This role is responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive training program across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an efficient and effective training program, ensuring all staff members meet UKAS standards.
  • Support a busy service processing a significant number of samples per year, while maintaining a high-performing and compliant service.
  • Organize training and development opportunities for histology staff, excluding medical consultants.
  • Maintain a system of recording training and development needs, meeting at minimum ISO 15189 standards for Histology.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with significant experience in a Histopathology/Cellular Pathology NHS laboratory.
  • Experience in training and development, including staff competency assessment.
