Business Planning and Strategy Leader

This is a highly influential and collaborative role that requires close interaction with various business units and professional backgrounds. The FP & A Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing financial planning and analysis strategies that drive business performance.

The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in using Business Intelligence tools, commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and strong presentation skills. They will also need to be flexible and adaptable in their approach to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

As part of the Finance team, you will lead a team of three direct reports, including a Management Accountant, FP & A Analyst, and Pricing Analyst. This role requires regular interaction with the Sales and Operational teams to inform strategy formulation, process establishment, and business improvement initiatives.

  • Interpreting financial and operational metrics to provide insights on trends and underlying drivers
  • Weekly sales and working capital reporting and analysis
  • Overseeing monthly group management reporting and divisional segment packs
  • Weekly cash forecasting
  • Managing IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 BI tool data integrity, super user, and outsourced support
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes, engaging senior managers to define business strategies and build finance operating plans
  • Business partnering, feasibility studies, resource utilisation, and pricing analysis
  • Continuous liaison with the CFO, CEO, and department heads
  • Coaching and managing the Pricing and Master Data Analyst, Assistant Management Accountant, and Management Accountant
  • Leading key projects in the FP & A space

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong track record of delivering financial planning and analysis strategies that drive business performance. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Fully qualified CA/CPA member with experience in a similar Senior FP & A role
  • Advanced experience in use of BI tools (IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, Power BI, Adaptive Insights)
  • Commercial acumen and ability to identify trends and provide continuous insights on key drivers
  • Stakeholder management and strong in-person presentation skills
