About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will lead a group of insurance risk specialists who monitor and mitigate insurance risks across the Australian financial system.

  • Lead a team of insurance risk specialists to deliver on our insurance risk needs, including on-site reviews of regulated entities.
  • Develop and implement strategic direction and business plans for the Insurance Risk team, aligned with our Corporate Plan.
  • Monitor and assess the insurance risk environment across the Australian financial system for relevant prudential vulnerabilities and recommend an APRA response.
  • Collaborate with other Cross-Industry Risk Division specialists to provide a cohesive prudential risk view across all risk classes for Australia’s financial system.

You may also engage internationally with peer regulators and contribute to the development of APRA prudential standards and policy.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong personal integrity, sound judgement, and excellent communication skills. You must have deep knowledge and experience in insurance risk management, solid leadership capabilities, and a strong ability to identify emerging trends and develop solutions.
