We are seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our team in a key leadership role. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing transport operations effectively and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess road corridor applications and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) applications, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Manage Council's rural road numbering, sign, and line marking programs, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Lead a team to deliver transport operations efficiently, providing guidance and support to staff members.
- Prepare reports, advise on policies, and identify funding opportunities for transport projects, contributing to the development of strategic plans.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including the Department of Transport and Main Roads, and other key agencies, fostering strong relationships and communicating effectively.
About You:
- Qualifications: A Degree in Traffic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating expertise in transport operations management.
- Experience: 5+ years in transport operations or a related area, with a strong background in project management, staff supervision, and budget administration.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and technical skills, ability to manage budgets, and a deep understanding of relevant legislation and Council procedures.
- Requirements: Current Class C Driver's License, White Card, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Council software systems.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary package, including a base salary of $95,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
