Executive Manager Planning and Certification

This pivotal role has the responsibility for managing multiple functions within the directorate, working strategically across the organisation to align operations with Council's priorities and values.

The successful applicant will require excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills to promote Council's decisions, services, projects and events. They must be able to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve fit-for-purpose outcomes that drive the achievement of strategic goals.

  • This role requires a degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related discipline AND/OR Building Certification (Unrestricted or Restricted).
  • A minimum of contemporary experience in a similar role; or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role, coupled with ongoing professional development to support contemporary knowledge is essential.
  • The ability to oversee and develop plans and policy development at a management and leadership level is also required.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have the ability to lead, develop and support staff to achieve work targets and objectives efficiently and effectively.
