Feros Care is a not-for-profit organisation that empowers people with disabilities to live bolder lives.

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Support Professional to join our team in Local Area Coordination Services. As a key member of our team, you will be working with individuals with disabilities and their families to access and navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

About the role:

As a Disability Support Professional, you will be responsible for developing and implementing goal-based plans that support the strengths, skills, and interests of individuals with disabilities. You will work closely with participants to build capacity, explore options for self-direction, self-management, and self-advocacy, and provide them with information and support to access mainstream services and participate in the community.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised plans that support the goals and aspirations of participants
  • Build strong relationships with participants and their families to understand their needs and preferences
  • Provide support and guidance to participants to enable them to make informed decisions about their lives
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and organisations to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in disability support

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for empowering people with disabilities
  • Relevant qualifications in disability or a related field, or lived experience as a carer or person with a disability
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary package of $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience
