Clinical Consultant: Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Join our team to work as a clinical consultant in paediatrics. You will be part of a high-performing team that drives innovation and excellence in therapy delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape best practice across a national team, support clinicians to grow in confidence and capability, and directly impact families through expert guidance.

About Your New Role

You will work within the Clinical Quality Development (CQD) team alongside senior mentors and national discipline leaders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert consultation in paediatric occupational therapy for complex cases, championing multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Delivering 1:1 supervision, mentoring and group learning to early-career and senior OTs
  • Supporting therapists with evidence-based practice, goal setting, and family-centred care
  • Working collaboratively across disciplines to support holistic outcomes for children and families
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
Leadership & Innovation

You will contribute to the implementation of paediatric practice frameworks, protocols, and specialist services. This includes contributing to internal upskilling initiatives and national mentoring programs, participating in research, evaluation or service design projects, and representing OT in clinical governance discussions.

Essential Qualifications And Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need a Degree in Occupational Therapy and at least 5 years experience in Occupational Therapy, including experience working with children under the age of 2. You must also hold current APHRA registration and a valid Australian driver's license.
