Lead Ethical Operations

This position oversees the effective and efficient management of professional standards, ethical consultations, misconduct complaints, and member declarations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage workflow systems and processes.
  • Maintain necessary records.
  • Receive and undertake preliminary assessments of alleged breaches of professional codes and determine jurisdiction.
  • Provide direct management and leadership support to the team.
  • Liaise with relevant parties and provide secretariat support.
  • Case-management of ethics consultations in line with professional codes.
  • Review and continuously improve systems.
  • Report preparation as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Law, Quality and Risk, or Professional Complaints and Misconduct Management.
  • Knowledge and experience in complaint and misconduct management, alternative dispute resolution, and mediation strategies.
  • Sound understanding of natural justice, administrative law, and good governance principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining respect and integrity within a profession.
  • High-level communication skills, including verbal, written, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
  • Experience with quality improvement frameworks and their implementation.
  • Team management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level analytical and research skills.
