Senior Ethics Manager

This position oversees the effective and efficient management of professional standards, ethical consultations, misconduct complaints, and member declarations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workflow systems and processes.
- Maintain necessary records.
- Receive and undertake preliminary assessments of alleged breaches of professional codes and determine jurisdiction.
- Provide direct management and leadership support to the team.
- Liaise with relevant parties and provide secretariat support.
- Case-management of ethics consultations in line with professional codes.
- Review and continuously improve systems.
- Report preparation as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Law, Quality and Risk, or Professional Complaints and Misconduct Management.
- Knowledge and experience in complaint and misconduct management, alternative dispute resolution, and mediation strategies.
- Sound understanding of natural justice, administrative law, and good governance principles.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining respect and integrity within a profession.
- High-level communication skills, including verbal, written, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
- Experience with quality improvement frameworks and their implementation.
- Team management and leadership skills.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- High level analytical and research skills.
