Job Title: Clinical Practice Manager, Sexual Assault

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Practice Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional sexual assault services.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership to individual program SA/DV nurses, offering mentorship, guidance, and support.
  • Coordinate collaboration between nurses, counselors, and other clinicians to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Orient new nurses to the team, ensuring they meet requirements for virtual SANE training.
  • Review charts and provide constructive feedback to clinicians.
  • Lead nurse team meetings and facilitate open communication.
  • Offer vicarious trauma support for clinicians, promoting their well-being and resilience.
  • Engage with community partners, including emergency departments, police, and community agencies, to provide education and outreach.
  • Maintain compliance with reporting requirements, such as Network data reporting.
  • Support clinicians in using the REDCap database and review data prior to submission.
  • Ensure program policies, procedures, Medical Directives, and documentation are up-to-date.
  • Participate in program leader meetings, educator meetings, and nurse CoP meetings.
  • Provide leadership in pediatric care, addressing the unique needs of this population.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Clinical Practice Leader to drive excellence in service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in SA/DV, with at least three years in patient/family/staff teaching.
  • Current Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Certification.
  • Recent experience on the SATC Response Team.
  • Safekids Trained.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and competence in sexual assault/abuse.
