Front Office Manager Role Overview

Rydges Newcastle, a renowned hotel, seeks an accomplished Night Manager to lead overnight operations.

The ideal candidate will oversee comprehensive audits of daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies. They will also provide exceptional guest service, assist with room service and concierge services, and maintain property safety and security.

This role involves night shifts from 11 pm to 7 am on a rotating roster. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough audits of revenue postings and making necessary adjustments for reporting accuracy.
  • Supporting the Front Office team and other departments as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records of reservation details, including room rates and charging authority.
  • Preparing departure paperwork, including credit card and company charges.
  • Ensuring efficient overnight hotel operations and maintaining property safety and security.
  • Preparing and distributing relevant reports and maintaining weekly and monthly hotel statistics.
  • Processing management accounts as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Opera or similar PMS software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with high grooming standards.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and computer literacy skills.
  • Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Previous experience working in the hospitality industry, preferably with EVT, Australia's largest experiences company.
