About the Position

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a Discovery project integrating fluorescence microscopy with electrochemistry to control fluorophore properties, enhancing research outcomes.
  • Collaborate on research initiatives to drive grant success and improve research impact.
  • Design and conduct experiments to understand electrochemistry's effect on fluorescent properties of fluorophores.
  • Analyse experimental data, interpret results, and share findings through internal discussions, external collaborations, and scientific conferences.
Requirements
  • PhD in optical physics or cell biology with a focus on fluorescence microscopy is essential.
  • Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy, immunolabelling, and single molecule localisation microscopy is crucial.
  • Experience or interest in electrochemistry is necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of publications and conference presentations are expected.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
