Clinical Injury Management Specialist Part-time

The Role:
Critical analysis of clinical information is essential for this position, where you will advocate for best practice treatment and timely recovery to enable the injured individual to progress with their life as soon as possible.
Working within a passionate team of allied health professionals, you will be provided with support to learn and thrive in this exciting and demanding role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the claims team leader and technical advisor to create a high-performing team delivering positive outcomes to injured people and driving shareholder value.
- Review claim files and provide subject matter expertise to claims advisors, including interpreting medical reports, providing injury management advice, and determining rehabilitation and treatment requirements.
- Prepare professional written and verbal advice to claims advisors on reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services, and recommendations for future rehabilitation management.
- Ensure consistent injury management expertise to guarantee ongoing quality decisions and provide input into claims strategy.
- Share knowledge, coach, and mentor claims advisors to develop independent injury management capabilities.
- Build external relationships with best-in-class treatment and service providers to assist injured individuals in meeting their recovery goals.
- Support the injury management team leader to identify development opportunities and trends to improve individual and team performance and claim outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Allied Health-related discipline is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience and/or occupational rehabilitation experience is desirable.
- Ability to independently prioritize your work.
- Ability to use technology platforms to manage caseload effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner and in line with delegated authority.
- Willingsness to develop skills to manage difficult conversations with injured individuals, external health professionals, and legal professionals.
