About the Role

The Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of Kent Plc's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSSE) management system on projects. This includes ensuring compliance with government, client, and company requirements, as well as maintaining high standards of HSSE and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of the company's HSSE management system within the project
  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with HSSE regulations and company standards
  • Ensure all workers receive comprehensive HSE inductions and training
  • Maintain accurate records of accidents and incidents, and report off-site incidents to HR and Finance
  • Participate in and lead investigations into accidents and incidents, and ensure effective corrective actions are taken
  • Advise project management on the selection, maintenance, and inventory of personal protective equipment
  • Ensure the adequacy and readiness of first aid facilities and trained first aiders on site
  • Assess subcontractors to ensure they meet Kent Plc's HSSE standards and regulations
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Workplace Health and Safety, along with 5 years of related work experience and a strong knowledge of local HSSE regulations, client policies, and procedures.
