Environmental Health and Safety Advisor

As our Environmental Health and Safety Advisor, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our safety culture across our Queensland recycling sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and drive a culture of safety and sustainability across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to site leaders and front-line supervisors on safety and environmental matters.
  • Mentor and coach site leadership to manage and implement safety programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate training and development programs for staff on safety and environmental topics.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Monitor and report on safety and environmental performance metrics.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in an EHS role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk management, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and collaborate across all levels.
